Terms of service
Last updated 28 September 2026
Draft. This page hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before launch.
These terms are an agreement between you and [Business name], ABN [ABN] (“we”, “us”), which runs TradeTurtle. By creating an account or using TradeTurtle you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
What TradeTurtle is
TradeTurtle is a trading journal and calculator. It helps you record trades, size positions against your own risk rules and review your results. It is not financial advice and doesn’t recommend any trade, asset or strategy. Read our disclaimer for more.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 to use TradeTurtle.
- Keep access to your email and Google account secure, since that’s how you sign in. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- Give us an email address that you can receive mail at.
Plans, trials and payment
- The Free plan includes 1 trading account and up to 20 trades.
- New accounts get a 14-day Pro trial without a card. When it ends you move to Free unless you subscribe. Your data stays, but you can’t add more than the Free limits allow.
- Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly in advance, and it renews automatically until you cancel. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which may act as the seller and add sales tax such as GST or VAT.
- You can cancel at any time. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for. See our refund policy.
- If we change prices, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to your subscription.
Your data
Your trades, notes and screenshots belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run TradeTurtle for you. You can export or delete them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Acceptable use
Don’t use TradeTurtle to:
- break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
- upload anything harmful, such as malware, or content you don’t have the right to share;
- try to access other people’s data, overload the service, or get around plan limits or security measures;
- resell or copy the service.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where we reasonably can, we’ll warn you first.
Calculations and availability
We work hard to make the calculations correct, but they depend on the numbers you enter and on simplified models. For example, the liquidation price is a rough estimate. Always check figures with your exchange before you trade. We aim to keep TradeTurtle available and your data safe, but we can’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Export your data regularly if it matters to you.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded. Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows:
- we aren’t responsible for trading decisions you make or for any trading losses;
- we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or lost data;
- our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your account
You can stop using TradeTurtle and delete your account at any time. We may stop offering the service. If we do, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your data, and refund any unused part of a prepaid subscription.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes we’ll tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using TradeTurtle after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
